J M Smith Names Donna Samulowitz SVP, CMO - November 22, 2017

J M Smith Corporation has named Donna Samulowitz Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

J M Smith Corporation has named Donna Samulowitz Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Samulowitz brings a wealth of expertise to this new strategic role, having held senior marketing leadership roles with organizations such as USAA Financial Services Association, Cardinal Health, Roche Diagnostics Corporation and Whirlpool Corporation.

She has a proven track record of listening to the voice of the customer and operationalizing it.”

Samulowitz joins the organization from Brand Connectix, a strategic brand consultancy, where she served as president. Among her clients were one of the largest institutional pharmacies in the country and a leading respiratory and home infusion provider. Prior to this position, she served as SVP - Marketing and Sales at USAA, where she optimized the brand through their first-ever national advertising campaign and drove sales and service transformation. 

Samulowitz also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer – Integrated Provider Solutions at Cardinal Health, where she led a brand transition and created a model to capture customer insights and grow strategic relationships. As Vice President, Global Customer Loyalty for Whirlpool Corporation, she led an enterprise-wide strategic customer loyalty transformation across 15 brands. While at Roche Diagnostics, Samulowitz led product lifecycle management, launching multiple product line extensions and improvements.

Samulowitz earned an M.S. in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University and a BA in Advertising and Public Relations from Drake University. She and her husband, Paul are relocating to Spartanburg.
